After visiting Greece over this summer, I am in love with Greek Food.  I have heard a lot about Greek Town in Chicago so I decided to make a visit today for lunch.  I went to eat at Santorini Restaurant.  The ambience and service is great and the food is good to.  I had the basic, Saganaki Cheese and Greek Salad.  I was really craving both the cheese I had in Greece.  Saganaki was simply delicious, and tasted with authentic.  Greek Salad however was not as authentic as I was hoping.  The feta cheese was not as soft as I was hoping for it but I guess that is the difference when you have feta cheese in Greece as oppose to the US.  If you are craving greek food and want to get a as close to authentic meal as possible then Santorini Restaurant in Chicago is the place to be.

Noodles & Company_Chicago

What I love about Chicago is that they have so much to offer when it comes to food.  I do my best to avoid fast food, specially when I am in a hurry.  Today was one of those days when I just had a few minutes to grab something really quick.  As I was walking down the street I came across, Noodle & Company.  It looked interesting so I stepped inside to check it out.  They offer variety of noodles and pasta, along with a side of soup or salad.  The cost was extremely reasonable and the quantity was just perfect.  I ordered Indonesian Peanut Saute, along with Tomato Basil Soup.  The soup was delicious and so fresh, perfect for a cold day like today.  The main entrée was delicious and was made fresh to order.  I highly recommend this place if you are in a hurry to grab a quick bite.

Mexican food is known to be very tasteful, flavourful, and a blend of different spices.  However, its always easy to find a good restaurant that offers authentic flavourful Mexican cuisine.  I went for dinner at Uncle Julios in Chicago with some colleagues and was very impressed by everything they had to offer.  I ordered Ahi Tuna Fajitas with Corn Tortilla.  Oh man, it was the best fajitas ever.  This was the first time I tried Ahi Tuna Fajitas and by far it was the best tuna.  Very flavourful, cooked well from the outside and tenderly raw from the inside, with a unique taste of spice sprinkled on top.  The best thing about the tortilla that they have is that they are freshly made per order.  I highly recommend this restaurant for everyone.  You will not be disappointed.

LouMitchells_Chicago

One of the oldest and very well known family owned breakfast place in the heart of Chicago downtown is what defines Lou Mitchells.  Many people had mentioned this place to me and told me that while in Chicago I have to go there.  As soon as you enter the hostess greats you with a basket full of munchkins.  The munchkins are nothing to brag about but its a great gesture and tradition that they have for guests coming to their restaurant.  As I walked in I noticed that it was a very simple family owned restaurant with casual seating and the service was pretty decent.  I ordered one egg with house potatoes and side order of one pancake with walnuts.  Their tradition is, when you order one egg you get two, and when you order two you get four.  So the quantity was very good and the house potatoes were delicious and well cooked.  Their pancake however, is their house special and were fluffy and extremely tasteful.  Next time you are in Chicago then you should definitely go to Lou Mitchells.  However don't expect a great service, but expect a very flavourful breakfast or lunch.

Chicago is known for a lot of things and one of them is Deep Dish Pizza.  I ordered in Lou Malnatis as it was the closest pizza place from where I was.  I ordered "The Lou" which is their vegetarian option, and has garlic butter crust with spinach mix and different vegetables.  The pizza was extremely flavourful, the spinach mix is something I had for the first time and it was extremely delicious.  I have had deep dish pizza before but this one was simply amazing.  I do plan to go there and have a sit down dinner with some friends soon.  I highly recommend Lou Malnatis for all Pizza lovers out there.

Been craving sushi for a last few days so really wanted to go to a great sushi place and Blu Fish in Glenview / Chicago was simply amazing.  Started off with appetizer Ahi Tuna Tartar, and let me tell you that by far this is the best tuna tartar I have ever had.  It was tuna tartar with seared tuna sashimi and each bite was better than the last.  I could taste the tuna in every bite and it was very flavourful.  Then I tried different kind of Sushi Rolls: Salmon & Avocado, Spicy Tuna, Rainbow Dragon, and Crunchy Muffy.  Each one was so different from the other and tasted excellent and very flavourful.  The rolls were very filling and the quantity was excellent.  I highly recommend this place next time you are in the Glenview area.

DelSeoul_Chicago

Busy day today so decided to grab a quick bite at Del Seoul Korean Street BBQ.  I have heard their shrimp tacos are the best.  So I ordered two shrimp taco and one tofu taco, just to try it.  The shrimp taco was amazingly delicious and the sauce was very different.  Tofu taco however, was way below my expectation.  It was not tasty at all and didn't taste right.  I eat tofu a lot but this one tasted bad as if it was sitting there for a long time.  Shrimp tacos are definitely worth the try.  I didn't have anything else so its hard for me to say about their food in general; but if you are walking by then stop in for a shrimp taco.

Maoz_Chicago

I have heard a lot about Fashion Outlet Mall near the Chicago airport, so this time when I landed in Chicago I decided to make the mall my first stop.  Huge mall with many brand outlets and definitely worth the trip.  I was starving when I got to the mall and went to the food court right away.  Maoz Vegetarian place caught my eye right away because they were sampling their freshly made falafel.  I ordered a falafel sandwich with avocado and feta cheese, with side order of sweet potato fries and a unique drink called The Green Kick.  The sandwich was just wow.  I am not a huge fan of falafel but Maoz's falafel tasted very good and was extremely fresh.  Avocado and Feta are premium topping but they have a salad bar with fresh toppings and sauce that you can add to each sandwich.  The drink was something very different and a perfect blend of sweet and spicy.  It was made with all greens like apple, cucumber, celery and a kick of jalapeños.  The meal was delicious and very filling.  The impressive part was that the owners were present at the location and they are there almost every day to make sure that their service and quality of food is not compromised.  Next time you are in Chicago then I definitely suggest Maoz Vegetarian.  This is one of the best vegetarian places I have been to in a very long time.  I will definitely make a stop again before I leave Chicago.

Exterior of this restaurant doesn't look to appealing but as you walk in, it's a very big restaurant with great food.  I was feeling like having pasta so I ordered Cheese Tortellini with Rose sauce ; and it was an excellent choice.  The waitress even suggested as its one of their specials and the sauce is in house special.  Each bite was so tasteful and the sauce was delicious.  It was not a normal rose sauce that I have had with my pasta in the past.  The quantity was excellent as well and was well worth the price. If you are hungry, want to take your friends or family out for a nice diner then I highly recommend Carmine in Brossard.

Here I am again having brunch at The Breakfast Club.  This restaurant never fails to amaze me.  So I had a veggie sandwich with avocado, tomato, onion, spinach, and added an egg.  It was a massive sandwich but so delicious and healthy.  I love going to The Breakfast Club every time I am in the area.  Staff is friendly, food is delicious, and I never walk out of there with a complaint.  I recommend this place if you are in the area.

Small cozy place, with great staff, and excellent food is what defines Les Folies in Montreal.  I went for a brunch with some friends who came from Toronto and they loved this place.  I ordered Avocat Omelettes which is omelette with avocado, salsa, and sour cream.  It was delicious and very filling.  The plate came with side order of potatoes which were fresh and cold fruit and bread.  It was a perfect meal for Sunday Brunch and the environment made it even better.  We had to stand in a line but it was totally worth the wait.  I highly recommend this place next time you are in Montreal.

All you can eat fries is a great concept, specially when the fries are so delicious and fresh.  This is what Steak Frites is known for along with their great service, cosy ambiance, and delicious food.  The Sesame Grilled Tuna sounded delicious and tasted even better.  Raw centre and sesame crust exterior; cooked just right and each bite was better than the last.  Every time I have gone to Steak Frites I have walked out very satisfied.  They have many locations around Montreal and each location meets the service and food quality.  I have yet to hear anything negative about this place from anyone.  And the best part is that they are BYOB.  What more can you ask for?  Next time you are in Montreal, be sure to visit one of many Steak Frites location and I guarantee you that you will walk out feeling happy, full, and satisfied.

If you love dessert then Caffe Demetre is the place to be.  They have many locations all across GTA but the location I went to is located in Mississauga.  Very busy place even around closing time, but that didn't compromise the service they provide to their customers.  I ordered Banana Karenina Crepe without whip cream.  Perfect combination of ice cream, warm crepe, and warm caramelized banana with Nutella.  You can taste the caramel on each banana as its made perfect, each bite just melts in your mouth and you want to enjoy it as much as you can.  I am telling you no matter how stuffed you are, you would want to finish your dessert here.  Perfect spot for families, friends, and even dates.  Their menu has variety of specialized desert and no matter what you order, you will walk out with a smile.  After all ice cream makes everyone smile.

Had awesome Thai Food after such a long time.  Tofu Panang Curry with Coconut steam rice was just wow.  It was a little spicy but it was delicious.  The spice gave an extra kick which was very hard to handle but the taste was so good that I finished the entire meal.  Tofu pieces were huge which is very rare and were perfectly marinated and cooked in the curry.  This is the first time I tried coconut steam rice and I have to say it did have a different taste but not much different from regular steam rice.  Its worth the try with the curry or by itself to get the coconut taste.  The service was awesome, the food was delicious, quantity was very filling, and by far it's the best Thai Food I have had in a very long time.  Next time you are in Mississauga then I highly recommend you go here.  You will walk out extremely satisfied.

Went to Oakville Downtown for the first time and loved it.  People are very sweet, restaurants are great, and sitting down on a patio having sangria while enjoying a great meal just makes it all better.  Julia is a family owned restaurant and they have their own recipe items on the menu.  This is what makes Julia so unique and I recommend this restaurant to everyone.  I had Tuna Tiradito and Mahi Mahi, Salmon Ceviche.  Let me tell you that it was the best ceviche ever, perfect blend of mahi mahi and salmon, and the Tuna was extremely fresh and could taste the coconut lime mojo on every bite.  Quantity is great and the cost is extremely reasonable.  I highly recommend this place next time you are in Oakville downtown.

Nandos_Toronto

Menu full of options and food that makes you link your fingers is what defines Nandos.  I ordered veggie pita with side order of fries.  Good thing about Nandos is that you can pick the level of how spicy you want your food to be.  Usually medium spicy is good because it's still a little spicy and it hits the spot.  The spice level was perfect for the pita and the veggie patty tastes delicious.  I highly recommend you go to nandos next time you are in Toronto.  The service is great and the food is extremely fresh.  You will walk out very satisfied.

AboveBlueSuites_Santorini

Heaven on earth is what describes Above Blue Suites in Santorini.  Awesome view, great staff, and delicious food is what you will receive when you stay at Above Blue Suites.  Last night in Santorini I decided to have dinner watching the sunset from my balcony and ordered room service.  The cost was extremely reasonable so I wanted to enjoy a full meal since it was my last night.  I started off with Traditional Fried Tomato Balls for appetizers, which were fresh, fluffy, hot, and very tasteful.  I could taste the tomato paste and the yogurt sauce on the side gave a different but good taste to it.  Then for my main course I had Vegetarian Risotto.  Tomato peppers, mint and feta gave such a different taste to it that I didn't need to ask for a sauce on the side.  It was made perfect and served hot.  I finished the entire meal and found myself licking the spoon as it tasted so good.  Now to the desert, Chocolate Mousse has never tasted so good and the Hazelnut Crust and Banana Ice Cream on the side just made it all better.  I was extremely full but still finished the desert since it taste beyond delicious.  Not just the food but the stay at the Above Blue Suites was extremely worth it.  I highly recommend this place  when you are visiting Santorini.  It will just make your trip more special.

Fun ambiance, greek music, delicious food, lively place, and great service is what defines Bella Thira Restaurant in Santorini.  I went there pretty late at night and it was very lively and people were still coming in.  I ordered Greek salad, with hummus and tzatziki sauce and pita bread.  It was a perfect end to the night, very delicious and very fresh and warm pita just made it all better.  The owner of the restaurant was greeting and meeting all the customers which added a special touch to it.  Be sure to visit this restaurant next time you are in Santorini, you will not be disappointed.

Avocado_Santorini

Extremely friendly ambience, and tasty food is what defines Avocado Restaurant in Imerovigli, Santorini.  It's open late so it was perfect place for me since I got in very late.  Good thing about the restaurant is that they do not refuse any customer.  People walked in about five minutes before closing time and the manager didn't refuse them.  I had Avocado Salad for dinner and it was very filling and had a great kick to it.  It was a perfect blend of shrimp, avocado, tomato, peppers, lime sauce, and a special dressing.  With the bill they also give one shot of vodka which is perfect end to the night.  If you are in Santorini next time then be sure to visit this restaurant and it will be a perfect end to a night.

Costantis_Mykonos

Having lunch by the beach is the best thing.  Amazing view, and extremely relaxing.  I went to Ornos beach in Mykonos today and had a great time.  Had lunch at Costantis Mediterranean Restaurant before leaving.  I have been wanting to try Halloumi Cheese but was not able to find it anywhere until I went to this restaurant.  So to start off I had Halloumi Cheese as an appetizer and Cheese Pizza as an entree.  The Halloumi cheese was grill and served on crusted pita with grilled vegetables.  Man the cheese was so delicious.  If it wasn't for the grilled vegetables then it wouldn't have any taste to it but the texture of the cheese is what made it delicious.  It was very different and served warm.  I recommend you try this cheese next time you have a chance even if you are not a cheese fan.  For main entree I had cheese pizza which was okay.  It was nothing special and the cheese didn't taste that good.  It was like having frozen pizza made at home.  If you want to have good appetizer and enjoy the beach then this restaurant is the place to be.

First night in Mykonos wanted to have light dinner near by the hotel where I was staying.  I was in Ornos Area where most of the tourist stay and it has some local restaurants in the area.  I went to Barcode because it had live music and seemed very cosy.  Ordered Saganaki because I had heard all about this dish but never tried it.  I ordered spicy Saganaki as per the waiter's suggestion.  It came sizzling hot and as I added lemon to it, I could hear the sizzling sound.  It was fresh and very tasty.  I never knew that fried cheese can taste so good.  It was filling and extremely delicious.  I highly recommend this place and their food.  The ambience is very chill, staff is very friendly, and the food is extremely delicious.  You will not be disappointed at all.

Flavours_Athens

After a long productive and fun day in Athens, I want to go somewhere nice for dinner but not to expensive.  I asked the concierge at my hotel for a place near by where I can walk.  They suggested Flavours Restaurant which was about 10 minutes walk from the intercontinental.  Amazing service, friendly staff and the food was extremely reasonable in price and very delicious and flavourful.  I ordered spaghetti with tomato sauce and feta cheese.  I was not to sure how feta would taste with the sauce but it was extremely delicious and very well marinated.  The food was served very hot and tasted fresh.  This is a fairly new restaurant and is opened till 3am.  Upon my return to the hotel, I saw some guests inquiring about a place to eat and I suggested them Flavours.  If you are staying near by then I highly suggest this place.  You will walk out very satisfied with food, cost, and service.

PlakaRestaurant_Athens

Plaka is a great place to be in Athens.  People are very friendly, small shops, amazing restaurants, and very cultural are to be in.  I stopped at Restaurant Plaka for a quick bite.  I wanted to try something greek so I ordered Greek Spinach Pie.  It was so delicious.  The stuffing in the pie was with Spinach and Feta Cheese and it was very filling.  The stuffing was filled through all the corners of the pie and was the perfect lunch after a walk.  The staff was super friendly and the owner of the restaurant was greeting the customers himself.  It's a small family owned restaurant and I highly recommend for all the tourists to go there at least ones while in Athens.

BistrotVienna_Intercontinental_Athens

First night in Athens, arrived late so checked in at our hotel and decided to have dinner at the Bistrot Vienna, located at the lobby level of The Intercontinental where we are staying.  Amazing hotel and great staff.  The good thing about this restaurant is that their kitchen is open until about 1am therefore for guests who arrive late this is a perfect place to have dinner.  For my main course I had Risotto with asparagus and cheese.  It was good in quantity and pretty okay in taste.  I had to get hot sauce on the side to add a little kick to it because it didn't have much taste to it.  After my meal I wanted to try the Greek Coffee with medium sugar.  It was very different than the regular filtered coffee, and very strong.  The idea is to drink it hot and fast because the bottom of the coffee is very creamy and extremely strong.  So if it gets cold then it would not taste good at all.  It was good to try but I would probably not have it again.  I love my coffee but Greek Coffee was just not for me.  If you are staying at The Intercontinental then I do recommend having at least one meal at this restaurant.

Mado_Istanbul

One thing that you can never go wrong in Istanbul with is Desert.  They by far have the best desert possible.  My last night in Istanbul, I was really craving Baklawa so I went to near by cafe Mado.  It's a franchise in Istanbul and they carry different cakes, ice cream and local desert.  I asked the waiter what he suggests for me to have as I want to try something very local.  He recommended Pistachio Angel Air which takes about 15 minutes to make and is served warmed with a scoop of ice cream on the side.  The 15 minutes wait was well worth it.  This desert was just out of this world.  It was similar to Baklawa yet warm and very very delicious.  I would taste the pistachio and the honey which it is made of.  And the ice cream is their own home made ice cream and it added a perfect touch to it.  If you are in a mood of a nice sit down cafe, with good service, and excellent choice of desert then I highly recommend Mado.

HafizMustafa_Istanbul

Sweets, Sweets, and more Sweets.  Hafiz Mustafa is the place to go if you want to have fresh Baklawa, other local sweets, turkish delight, and fresh orange juice.  They have different locations but the one I went to is near the spice bazar and is their biggest location.  The staff was so friendly and they event packed something for me to take with me as I travel.  I highly recommend this place the next time you are in Istanbul.

Ezberbozan_Istanbul_Bosphorus

After a long day of sight seeing it was time for dinner.  Around our hotel we found a local restaurant Ezberbozan.  The food was pretty good and the price was very reasonable.  I had Penne Arabiata which had a different spice taste to it and it was very filling.  The service was okay.  I find that in general, service in Istanbul is reasonable because of the language barrier.  The restaurant is nothing to brag about but if you are in the area late at night and just want to chill and have a meal then this would be a good place to go to.

Spectacular view, delicious food, good choice of drinks is what defines the roof top restaurant and bar at the Renaissance Bosphorus Istanbul.  My first night in Istanbul, I was extremely tired and didn't want to go around the area looking for a place to eat.  So I decided to have dinner at the hotel and it was the right choice.  It was quite since it was a weekday but the ambiance was so relaxing and I sat by the window so the view was a bonus.  I started off with Spicy Humus and traditional Turkish yogurt, Haydari which is yogurt mixed with garlic, mint and white cheese.  I have had humus before but the spice they added gave it a different taste.  And the yogurt was out of this world.  It was beyond delicious.  I could state the garlic and mint, and it was a perfect blend of the three things.  I liked it so much that I asked for extra.  For my main entree I had Hazelnut Crusted Salmon.  Salmon was the typical grilled salmon but the extra hazelnut topping added the extra touch to it and it hit the spot.  It was pieces of crust hazelnut with some spice to it and it was something very different.  I highly recommend this the next time you are visiting Istanbul.  It is on a pricy side but the quantity and quality was worth paying the price for.

I am off to Turkey and Greece for vacation and am flying Turkish Airlines for the first time.  I love to write about food and since international flights serve meals, I decided to write about that as well.  This is the first time I flew in Turkish Airlines and I was amazed by the quality and taste of their food.  I am not a fan of inflight food but Turkish Airlines was amazing.  It was a overnight flight so we were served dinner and breakfast.  Dinner started off with a piece of shrimp, falafel, and chicken brochette.  Shrimp was very tasty and falafel had a little spice to it which added to the taste.  Then we had smoked salmon wrapped with zucchini and cream cheese on the side.  I love salmon and this one was extremely tasty and very fresh.  Zucchini was warm so it was a perfect combination of cold salmon and warm zucchini.  For dinner there were many different options but in seafood they only had Sea Bass.  This is the first time I tried Sea Bass and it was so tender with taste of lime.  The entire meal was very filling, and it was so tasty that I ate everything.  To finished with desert they had many different options but I decided to keep it light with green tea ice cream and watermelon.  After a good sleep it was breakfast time, which started off with fresh fruits and yogurt.  Main breakfast course was veggie omelet with grilled cheese, salsa and grilled mushrooms.  It was so tasteful and was cooked extremely well.  I didn't have the grill cheese because it was to heavy after a while.  The airline had great deal of drink options and their tea and coffee was fresh and very hot.  I highly recommend Turkish Airlines for long flight because it is important to have tasty and filling meal during long flights.

Prohibition_Montreal

Delicious. Tasty. Filling.  These are the words that describe Prohibition in Montreal.  I went for brunch with some friends and fell in love with the place.  You have to make a reservation before going because it's a small cozy place and if you don't have a reservation then you have to wait for a while to get a seat.  The service was excellent and the staff is extremely friendly.  I ordered Huevos Rancheros and by far it was the best one I have ever had.  I have had the same dish at different place but Prohibition was very tasteful.  You can taste every single ingredient from eggs to onions to guacamole.  I would highly recommend the place to everyone.  All my friends had a great time and everyone loved the food and was very satisfied with the quantity.  Next time you are in Montreal or if you are a local then be sure to visit this place.

I had a romantic date last night at Otto Restaurant, located at the W Montreal.  WOW.  It was a candle light dinner by the window table and the food was delicious.  I ordered Tuna Tartar and my date ordered Linguine Pasta.  Tuna tartar with guacamole base, tuna on top with a touch of cilantro was to die for.  I can still taste the tuna and guacamole, it was beyond delicious and very filling and extremely fresh.  I tasted the pasta that my date ordered, and it was delicious.  It had a little spice to it which added the taste that you want to keep having it over and over again.  The staff provided great service and the ambiance was beautiful.  If you want to take someone on a date or just have a romantic dinner with your significant other then I highly recommend this restaurant.  You will walk out very satisfied.

My cousin was staying at my place and when we woke up we were lazy to make breakfast.  So before we started our day of shopping we stopped at Coco Bongo to have a quick breakfast.  I had never heard of this place but would see it every time I would drive towards the highway.  My cousin and I wanted to try something new so we went there.  I was not really impressed with the menu so ordered something I had before at a different restaurant, French Toast with Bananas and Chocolate Chip with English Creme.  We had to wait a long time for the coffee and they didn't fill the mug.  The mugs they have are good in size but they would only fill half the mug.  We asked for refill a few times but the staff was not as attentive as they should be.  Overall, I was not happy with the service.  Food was also nothing special.  French Toast was not as warm as it should be and the taste was nothing special.  I can most likely make better French Toast at home.  I would not recommend this place for anyone.  I know I will not be going back for sure.

L'Avenue_Montreal

L'Avenue is certainly the most talked about in Montreal.  Small place, long wait time, but definitely worth it.  I ordered Huevos Rancheros and Nutella Pancake with Strawberries.   Huevos Rancheros was hot, fresh and very tasteful.  It was very filling, but because the waitress had recommended the pancakes, I had to try them.  I have had pancakes at many different place but L'Avenue by far have had the best ones.  The were soft, fluffy, hot, and very delicious, and of course nutella and strawberry made it even better.  This is definitely a place everyone should go to, specially if you are visiting Montreal.  I highly recommend this place for everything.

TheKeg_Montreal

By far one of the finest restaurants in Montreal Downtown.  Excellent Service, great food, cost effective, many drink options, and romantic ambiance.  These are all the things that sum up, The Keg Steakhouse in Montreal downtown.  I went for a birthday part with some friends and had an excellent, satisfying, delicious, and very filling food.  I started of with Chopped Vegetable Salad, and it was everything the description said.  Fresh chopped vegetables with feta and dijon vinaigrette was delicious and very tasteful for a salad.  For my main course I had Mustard Salmon, which was very fresh and tender.  The salmon would just melt in my mouse, and I can still feel the taste.  The honey and dijon mustard spread just added an extra kick to the salmon and it was beyond tasty.  It is not possible to go to Keg and not have Billy Miner Pie for desert.  There is just something about this pie made with Mocha ice-cream, on chocolate crust with hot fudge and almond that keeps making you want to go back just for the desert.  The meal at The Keg is not complete without this desert.  The next time you are in Montreal, you much go to The Keg and enjoy the best meal of the day.  I guarantee that you will walk out fully satisfied.

Fresh!  These are the words that define Juliette Et Chocolat in Dix30.  To start I had The Spanish Tortilla Crepe with Chai Latte, and oh my god, it was fresh, hot, and beyond delicious.  The quantity was much larger than what I expected and it was filling.  I loved the fact that the crepe was filled with egg, potato, pesto and cheese from corner to corner.  Every bite was very tasteful.  After the meal I was pretty full but I could not leave the place without trying their desert place, so I ordered chocolate banana crepe, and it was soft, warm, and extremely fresh.  Even though I was full, I still finished my desert crepe and walked out extremely satisfied.  The staff is amazing, the food is delicious, and the ambiance is very chill.  I certainly recommend this place the next time you want to enjoy an excellent meal with desert.

I love red velvet cupcakes and the best ones in Montreal can be found at Les Glaceurs.  Whenever I go out of town or to someone's house I always make a stop at any of their locations and grab a box of fresh Red Velvet Cupcakes.  They are beyond delicious.  They have regular and mini cupcakes and are definitely worth the price.  I highly recommend them.  They have many other creative flavours but I have always gotten red velvet and have been fully satisfied.

So I have heard a lot about this place but had never been there.  But let me tell you that everything I heard was very true.  Good food, excellent service, and delicious desert that melts in your mouth.  So I was really in a mood for a burger and being a vegetarian my choices are very limited.  I saw Veggie Burger on the menu but what was interesting was the description of the burger.  Its made with brown rice, beats, and beans.  Sounded very different and was not sure how it would be but really wanted to try it.  And omg it was beyond delicious.  Very tasteful, juicy, and definitely hit the spot.  I was extremely full after the meal but I had to try the desert.  Their Molten Chocolate Cake takes 30 mins to cook and its cook per order so its extremely fresh and hot when it arrives.  The cake with melted chocolate in centre really melts in your mouth and adding vanilla ice cream to it is a perfect combination of cold and hot.  If you are in Chicago next time then certainly try this place.  There is a wait to get the table because its always packed but its truly worth the wait.

Amazing concept of create your own meal, reasonable prices, and many choices.  These are the things that define Flat Tops Grill in Chicago.  You are given a bowl when you are seated, and we can fill up the bowl with as many ingredients as we want. First we need to decide if we want rice or noodles, and if you don't want either then just proceed to vegetables.  There are many choices of vegetable and sauces to pick from.  Mix as many flavours as you like and be creative.  Then if you want to add meat then select from many choices of beef, chicken, pork and seafood.  Lastly, there are different colour of sticks available that you add to your bowl to customize it even more.  Sticks colours are for tofu, egg, lettuce, shrimp, and Roti option.  Pick as many sticks as you like.  There are also colour sticks available to inform the chef about any allergies and vegan option.  After you are satisfied with your picks, leave the bowl with the chef and they will bring it to your table as soon as its cooked.  Fresh, hot, customized, and satisfying.  I highly recommend this place if you want to try your own recipe and have a very satisfying meal.  I will definitely go back when I am in Chicago the next time.

Amazing food, great ambiance, and the best wine collection I have seen so far.  Yup that is Cooper Hawk for you in Chicago.  I went to their Naperville location with some friends and was amazed by their concept of wine tasting.  So they are known for their wine, and they allow customers that come for dinner to do wine tasting at no charge.  I was not sure which wine to get so the waitress told me I can taste as many as I want at no charge.  I ended up tasting three before I placed my drink order.  The food was delicious.  I ordered Soy Ginger Salmon from their Seafood selection.  The salmon was perfect, it was cooked extremely well and having it with the Wasabi Potatoes just made it so much better.  The service, the food, the drink, and the ambiance; it was all perfect.  I highly recommend this place the next time you are in Chicago.

So we are on our way to the airport and started to smell fresh fries.  We were not sure where it was coming from, but then we saw a long line up of people at a drive in place.  The line up was of people at the walk in window as well as the cars at the drive thru.  So we decided to check it out.  The menu had only a few things, burgers, hot dog, fries, and milk shake.  We were not super hungry since we just had lunch but still wanted to try this place since it was full of people.  In drive thru we ordered Family Size French Fries.  And let me tell it was really FAMILY SIZE.  It was delicious, hot, fresh, and oh my god, even though we were not hungry we ate it.  Next time you are in Calgary then definitely check out this place.  You can't sit there and eat since it's a drive in.  If the fries were this good then I am sure everything else on the menu is probably awesome.

After a busy trip, and before heading to Calgary we stopped at Rundle Lounge in Banff Fairmont for a quick bite.  Its a very cozy place with many selections on their menu.  I was not super hungry so I ordered Margherita FlatBread.  It was very delicious and the cheese had a different taste to it with the buffalo sauce.  If you are in Banff then Fairmont is def a place to go for the view and pictures.  Fairmont also has many other restaurants but because we didn't want to stay to long we went to the Lounge.  I highly recommend this place for all tourists.

Great Ambiance!  Delicious Food!  Excellent Service! But a little over priced.  I went with some of my friends and we decided to go family style.
So to start we first ordered, Salmon Sashimi and Ceviche.  I never had Ceviche before so I was not sure how it would be.  But let me tell you, it was beyond delicious.  You can taste the spice with lime and tuna.  It was served with Masala Pappad.  Have it with our without Pappad, either way it was so tasteful.  However the Salmon Sashimi was not less tasteful..  Cold Sashimi with green onion, cucumber, cilantro and their special sauce swirl on it was out of this world.  I would have been okay to have sashimi all night long, thats how delicious it was.
Then for the mail meal we ordered, Housemade Red Beet Gnocchi, Snap Crackle Pop, and Red Seafood Curry Bowl.  Now I am not a big fan of Gnocchi in general, but I have to say Red Beet was something different.  It had a different after taste to it.  But if you are not a Gnocchi fan then you would not want to order this dish for yourself.  I had only two or three pieces but it was better than some Gnocchi dishes that I have tried in the past.  Snap Crackle Pop just sounds interesting and tastes even better.  One should like the taste of coconut to try this dish, which I really do.  Because its a curry dish you can take the coconut and tamarind with a little bit of spice.  It was definitely a good mix of Cod and Shrimp with a touch of spice.  Last dish on the menu was Red Seafood Curry which was just a regular curry with jasmine rice.  Having Snap Crackle Pop and Red Seafood Curry together was not a good idea because they are very similar to one another.  
This place is definitely worth going to.  But be ready to spend good money.  Food is worth spending money on for the taste, however if you are extremely hungry then it might not work for you because its fine restaurant.  Less food for more money!  I do recommend this place if you want to try some different blend of dishes.  We went there because the name was different and very interesting.

Another restaurant with the most beautiful view of mountains.  I was there for a breakfast event and the menu was very limited.  I ordered Eggs Benedict with spinach and it was delicious.  But it was just like any other breakfast place's Eggs Benedict; nothing special or extra ordinary.  If you want to enjoy the view while you eat then this place is definitely the place to be.  However, don't expect an exceptional service, in fact expect a very slow service.  Oh and this place is not easy to find because its at a corner of a ramp and you really have to go through different parking lots to get to it.  Overall I would recommend this place only if you are in the area and want to eat and enjoy the view.  However, if you want an exceptional meal, with a great service then I would consider going somewhere else.

Visiting Canmore for the first time.  Beautiful place and amazing people.  Many places to choose from to eat.  You name it they have it.  Started off my day with breakfast at Communitea Cafe.  Their menu is filled with healthy choices and the tea selection is just out of this world.  I wanted to try so many things but decided to go with a breakfast salmon pesto wrap.  It was delicious and so fresh.  I loved it.  You can taste the salmon with hummus, avocado, tomato, spinach, and pesto.  Have anything on their menu with freshly brewed tea of any flavour and trust me you will go home very satisfied.  I highly recommend this if you are visiting Canmore next time.

I love going to Reubens.  They have everything on their menu that you can think of.  When I use to work in downtown long time ago, I use to go there every Friday with some friends.  The service is great and food is very tasteful.  They have increased their prices but with the amount of food that we get, its totally worth it.  I never knew that they now have breakfast.  I went with some work colleagues for breakfast and was amazed by the menu.  Because I was limited with time, I had something very simple; two eggs with french toast.  I did find the french toast a little dry and not as tasteful as I would've expected.  I have had better french toast in other places.  I do plan to go back for breakfast and try something different.  If you are in Montreal and want to have awesome smoked meat and much more then Reubens is the place to be.

Made another trip to Breakfast Club in Brossard and my experience was way different this time around.  I was craving something sweet and chocolaty so I ordered, french toast with bananas, chocolate chips and english cream.  OH MY GOD I can still taste the english cream.  It was delicious.  It was a perfect combination of warm french toast with cold bananas and english cream topped with chocolate chips and powder sugar.  Made to perfection.  I did ask them to put extra bananas since it is one of my favourite fruit.  But I am sure even if I wouldn't have, it still would be very filling and satisfying.   I highly recommend this dish for people of all ages.  You can order this with either waffles, crepes, or french toast.  You will go home very satisfied regardless of what you pick.

I decided to take my mom for Mother's Day breakfast.  We went to EggStyle in Dix30.  Neither one of us has ever been there so wanted to try something new.  But the experience was not what I had expected.  The wait time and the service was good but the food didn't meet my expectations.  I had Bagel Lox but it didn't taste fresh at all.  The Salmon didn't taste good, and there was way to much cream cheese, and the bagel had a very unusual taste as if it was stale, and the potatoes were cold.  My mom on the other hand had ordered fresh toast and she was very satisfied.  I do plan to go back and try something different to get a better idea of their food, but this experience was not good at all.

Let me start by saying WOW.  I was in Chicago last week for a few days for a wedding and went to Marianos Market in Chicago Downtown for lunch.  I was amazed from the second I walked in.  They have everything under one roof.  I was amazed to see fresh fruit area which serves fresh fruit juice (fresh orange juice is the best), bakery with freshly baked deserts, salad bar with many choices, olive bar with all kind of different olives, sushi area where you can get sushi to go as well as a sit down area to enjoy sushi with a glass of wine, hot served food area which serves freshly baked pizza, pasta, soup bar, all household groceries, wine and other alcohol, flower shop, cafe, and much more.  Initially I thought they only have one location but as I drove to different areas in Chicago, I saw other locations.  I highly recommend a visit to Marianos next time you are in Chicago.  I promise you will be amazed with everything they have to offer.

Amazing service, delicious food, and great quantity! This is what defines Tiffany's Restaurant in Montreal.  I went there recently with my family since we had guests in town and everyone was impressed by the food and the service.  It looks like a very expensive restaurant from the ambiance but it is very reasonable.  I rather go there and enjoy a good meal than going somewhere else and go through trouble of looking for and pay for parking.  This time I ordered 10oz Grilled Salmon with Sweet Potato Fries.  Let me tell you, it was just delicious and filling.  For tourists and for locals I highly recommend this place.  I defiantly plan to go back and try something different because they had a lot to offer in their menu.

Portovino_Dinner_Montreal

I love seafood.  I never hesitate to order Salmon, because you can't go wrong with Salmon.  However, Tuna is a different story.  I am always a little skeptical to order Tuna because if it's not done right, it can ruin your appetite.  I have been to Portovino before and I know they have good food.  So I wanted to try something different this time around.  This tuna item just sounded delicious on the menu; Tuno Itsumo.  But let me tell you, it was far more delicious when I took the first bite.  It was just perfect.  Crusty from the outside and tender from the inside.  It was cooked from the outside and raw from the inside. Dipping it in their soy ponzu sauce and having a bite was just WOW.  Next time if you are at Portovino make sure to try this item.  It is not as filling as I thought but having the desert after just made up for it.  For those of you out there who love Tuna, this is defiantly a dish to try.

After a long day of meeting one wants a delicious, satisfying meal to end the day.  I recently travelled to Toronto for a meeting with some colleagues.  We stayed in downtown since our meeting was being held there.  After a long day of meetings and presentations we wanted to sit down at a nice restaurant and have a good meal.  While walking around we came across Spring Rolls.  The atmosphere looked very chill from the outside and the menu had a lot to offer so we decided to go there.  I must say it was a good choice we made.  The food was tasty and the quantity was very filling.  I started off with Mango Salad which was beyond delicious.  But one should like mango to enjoy this salad, which I love so it was perfect for me.  Then for the main meal I had Tofu Thai Red Curry with White Rice.  Just delicious, not to spicy and not to mild, it was just perfect.  I have to say I had such delicious Thai Food after a very long time.  If you are in Toronto and just want to chill with some friends or family and enjoy great service, good food, and a very chill atmosphere then Spring Rolls is the place to be.

Moishes_Montreal

Friday night with friends at a great restaurant with awesome service and delicious food...what else can one ask for?  I had always heard of Moishes Steakhouse in Montreal but never had a chance to go there till now.  They offer a special menu from Thursday - Saturday from 9pm to midnight for $25.  It includes appetizers, main course, and coffee / tea.  This was the best offer that I have seen so far at a fine restaurant.  I was able to get all my favourite dishes at a reasonable price.  To start I had Organic Salmon Tartare - delicious.  After that for main course I had Organic Salmon with a side of spinach and baked potation.  Salmon was tender and delicious; the bake potato was to die for.  I have never had such delicious and tasteful baked potato.  This restaurant had someone for everyone.  We were all satisfied with the taste and quantity of food.  I highly recommend Moishes to the locals as well as to the tourists.  You will walk out feeling very satisfied.  And to top it off they offer free parking behind the restaurant :)

Since my last not so good experience with brioche at The Breakfast Club, I have been craving to have brioche again.  Today I went to Chez Cora in Montreal Downtown and tried brioche with English cream and bananas.  It was delicious.  It was warm, tasty, and perfect with the amount of English cream.  I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy brioche with a taste of cinnamon and fruit.  It filled me up and was a perfect blend with a cup of coffee.  I have always enjoyed breakfast at Chez Cora and today the breakfast fulfilled my craving.  Next time you are in Montreal downtown and want to enjoy cost effective and tasty breakfast, then Chez Cora is definitely one place to be.
